Dolly Clothes for Dolly Birds

Here’s something delightful and sweet for today – sixties ladies fashion aka what to wear if you are a Swinging London’s Dolly Rocker from Syd Barrett’s song.

Pictures above are found here.

The next two pictures are from the blog “Sweet Jane“:

Ha ha great pics.A mix of old and new 60s. Moi, l always preferred the kinda pre Raphaelite drugger kinda baroque hippy chick look to the high street dolly bird style.I think Syd did too! All my girlfriends used to buy their gladrags from antique and junk shops and they all looked great! The nearest to getting that style with new stuff was prolly Hung on You and then Forbidden Fruit before they all “went to the East” In my opinion it’s still the best look, but one rarely sees it. Always enjoy the posts even when they’re about painters I don’t like!Best.

Ha ha, well I like both looks too, depending on the mood! Thank you, glad you enjoy my posts.

A buddy of mine was reading this post of yours and my reply. He really liked your post, but then he said to me “This girl is really gonna be wondering what ‘Gone to the East’ means you idiot” So to explain: its a drugger euphemism for becoming a heroin addict. Best

Is you saying my posts is lexiphanic? Well I just don’t care! Also there’s a full colon in my last post where a colon should not be,and I just don’t care about that either so there!
